2010 Annual General Meeting

at the Airspace Conference Centre
Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire
On Saturday April 24th 2010

 

Thanks to the very kind offer of Aircraft Restoration Company (ARC0) and Historic Flying Limited (HFL) principal John Romain, the very rare opportunity has been made available for Spitfire Society members to visit the magnificent ARC and HFL restoration facility at Duxford where the latest generation of Spitfires are under restoration and maintenance.

 

This is only available to Spitfire Society members. For the price of annual society membership - £15 you will be able to:

 

  • Visit Duxford for the day (admission normally £16.50)
  • Have the rare opportunity to visit Historic Flying
  • Have the rare opportunity to visit Aircraft Restoration Company
  • Periodic copies of the society magazine “Spitfire”
  • And you may see some Spitfires flying of course!!

 

You will need your valid Spitfire Society Membership Card to gain your entry to IWM or you will be charged admission.

 

Programme commences with arrival from 10.00am and sign in at Airspace (there is parking outside)

Visits to ARC/Historic Flying are hourly from 10.00 to 12.00.

 

The Annual General Meeting of the Spitfire Society will run from 13.30 until about 15.15 in the Airspace Conference Centre.  H.C.


There is plenty of time to enjoy Duxford before and after the meeting. New members are very welcome to come along and enjoy this Spitfire day.
