Welcome to the Spitfire Society Web Site

Come in and find out about the Society, who we are and what we do, and learn about the Spitfire and the people who designed, built, maintained and flew the most famous British fighter aircraft of World War II (and possibly of all time).

This is not just history- there are more Spitfires around flying now than there has been since the early 1950's.

Find out why we are so fascinated by this unique aircraft.
