On behalf of the Patrons, Trustees & Members of the Spitfire Society I would like to offer you our very warmest congratulations on your 90th Birthday.  Your early career in the Fleet Air Arm in the Second World War brought you well-deserved honours and your fame as a test-pilot, culminating in your World Speed Record in 1956, is a most important part of this country’s aviation history

In celebration of Peter Ayerst's 90th birthday, he was entertained at a lunch attended by some thirty members of the Society at the Old Jail House, Biggin Hill organised by our Membership Secretaries - Colin Uzzell and John Perrett.
